All Together Better (ATB) (Radford and Hyson Green voluntary and Community Sector Capacity Building Project) All Together Better will be running a pilot project over the next nine months and will work with a diverse group of thirty voluntary and community organisations to ensure that they are ready to take advantage of the new challenges and opportunities which lie ahead. The project is driven by Voluntary and Community Organisations Forum (VACOF), funded through New Deal for Communities and Managed/Delivered through The All Together Better Partnerships and Build. Capacity building within this project means strengthening the sector further, making groups more sustainable and ensuring that your services develop to meet the ever changing needs of the communities you serve. Included within the project is Action Learning, additional training and resources which will help your organisation develop. By encouraging groups to work together in partnership rather than competing against each other, we can identify common issues eg., funding or skills gaps, and work towards solutions to common issues. Funders like partnerships because they often provide better value for money and prevent duplication. Hope in the Cities Hope in the Cities is a programme of ‘Initiatives of Change, a worldwide network of people of different races, backgrounds and faith traditions working for reconciliation and justice by helping to develop inclusive communities and create trust-based relationships where all are valued and everyone is empowered to fulfil their potential. Hope in the Cities is active in several British cities as well as having links with a similar initiative in he USA, based in Richmond, Virginia.
