CharnwoodPartnersA number of interlocking projects were created through Connecting Communities and associated summer youth activities. The links below specifically relate to initiatives with substantial outcomes or reporting on the Internet. Most of them are still ongoing. Follow the links below to find out more about them. Further links to Connecting Communities partners can be found at the bottom of this page. CCTV is the name of an ongoing archive of video material related to the diversity and creativity of Charnwood. CCTV was developed as a tool to undertake and publish video material about cultural and intercultural life on the web. Developed by Connecting Communities for the local health partnership this ongoing project has worked with many young people to develop a web portal looking at health and relationship issues. The Leicestershire Villages website developed by cuttlefish.com for the Leicestershire County Council utilises the web management system originally developed for Connecting Communities. The system is also used by the CVS and Charnwood Arts. The Connecting Communities website was originally developed to bring the diverse working group and it's nine geographically focused areas together. It continues to act as a development area for community cohesion related projects in Charnwood.
Originally funded through the Arts Council of England New Audiences fund this project is developing contacts and work with young people across five local authority housing estates.
